Franc Jansen – Founder

To end the introduction of our team with the cherry on top, here is the founder of JMS Yachting, Franc Jansen. In his 30+ years as a professional in the marine industry, he has managed over 150 yachts including some of the largest and most iconic in the world.
Franc holds a BSc in Maritime Sciences as well as an MSc in Maintenance and Safety Management. He is also a qualified deck and class 1 engineering officer. After progressing through the ranks on cruise ships, Franc became a Class Surveyor and was involved in the development of the MCA Large Yacht Code. Since coming ashore, Franc has worked as a superintendent managing commercial ships and carried out numerous new build projects and refits across the globe. Representing MYBA yacht managers, he was also involved with the implementation of ILO MLC2006 regulations into the MCA large yacht code.
JMS Yachting was formed in 2015 by Franc Jansen as he thought that yacht management could be done better. To avoid conflict of interest, he believes that operational management should be totally independent from brokering and chartering.
